Big Challenge Days (Groups of 100+)

The Big Challenge Days are designed to provide a large number of people with a motivational, challenging, competitive and most importantly, a very enjoyable day out.

Groups of up to 600 people can take part simultaneously; competing against each other in teams of up to 10 people. All teams have one common goal; to take home a prize at the end.

Teams will compete head to head through a series of challenges gaining points as they go. Points will be added to the scoreboard as the day progresses, further heightening the level of competition.

Duration of challenge

This challenge can be completed in a morning or afternoon. East Coast Adventure can also customise the programme to suit your schedule and budget.

Tasks
From years of experiences in the field, East Coast Adventure have customised a wide range of diverse and challenging team tasks. From something as simple as a giant Jigsaw, to the most mentally and physically challenging, the Riddler. See below for examples

Trojan
This task will require the team to revert to ancient methods moving large heavy objects. In this case the large heavy object will be the team. Using the equipment provided, the team must devise a method of moving across a given area without touching the ground.

Volcano
The vent of a volcano is located in the middle of a giant crater. Using equipment provided, without setting foot in the crater, teams must set inject the secrete formula into the volcano to set it off. Points will be given according to the height and ferocity of the eruption.

Sahara
In the past mankind was required to construct intricate irrigation systems to hydrate areas of arid land. It is the team’s task to come up with a system to irrigate a section of ground from a far away water source. Equipment will be provided, ingenuity and gravity is key.

Labyrinth
A critical part of the Apollo task is hidden deep within the Labyrinth. It is up to the team to recover this piece of equipment before the time runs out or the Griffin gets it.

Mighty Roman Mangonel
Each team will arrive at their battle station where they will be given all the necessary materials and plans to build a Mighty Roman Mangonel. Once they have completed their Mangonel, it is their goal to land as many bombs onto their apposing teams.

The Matrix
Some crucial parts of equipment relating to the final challenge are hidden inside the Matrix. It will be up to the team to send two of their teammates into the Matrix to retrieve the equipment. The main difficulty in moving through the Matrix is the blinding light. To protect the two brave volunteers eyes, they will were blacked out goggles. It will be up to the rest of the team to talk their team-mates through the Matrix to successfully retrieve the equipment.

The Riddler
This challenge will test the team’s wits. They will follow a set of clues and solve riddles that will eventually lead them to a chest. They must break the code that will access the equipment inside. During the course of this challenge, the team could find themselves using metal detectors, figuring out some mathematics and even shooting a bow and arrow at some monkeys.

Apollo
Using the equipment attained during the challenge, teams must complete the following:

- Put together plan for the construction, launch and recovery of their Rocket. Teams must also have a contingency plan should the rocket fail to launch.

- Construct the Rocket according to the plan

- Attend a health and safety briefing

- Present their design to ECACSC (East Coast Adventure Space control) for clearance.

- Deliver a presentation to the rest of the group, on why their design is the best and is guaranteed to travel faster, further and return to earth with the least impact.

- Susses fully launch and recover their Craft

Points for this task will be given for the following:

- Height
- Speed
- Accuracy of landing
- Successful Parachute deployment
- Aesthetics
- Presentation

The Grand Finale

The final part of the challenge is the head to head knock Out. All teams will race through their own identical obstacle course collecting gold bars as they go. There will be points awarded for the first team over the finish line and the team with the most gold bars.

Prize Giving

At the end of the challenge prizes will be awarded for different disciplines. It is at the client’s discretion what the volume and type of prizes for the day will be.   Prizes can be supplied as an optional extra with the programme or can be supplied by the client.

East Coast Adventure Merchandise

East Coast Adventure carries a large stock of merchandise for big events such as this. You can choose from t-shirts, baseball caps, beanies and waterproof jackets to add to the day.
